Historic Buildings
The Vice-Regal Lodge
One of the first remarkable historic structures is the Vice-Regal Lodge,
now the office of the Vice-Chancellor. Dating to the 1930s, it shows a great
example of colonial architecture, with grand corridors, stonework intricacies,
and picturesquely landscaped gardens. Walking down its corridors brings you
face-to-face with history as it has been the residence of the British Viceroy
at one point. Its majestic facade and historical significance make it a
must-visit for anyone exploring DU. You may not know that Bhagat Singh was
detained here for 24 hours.

The University Library
University Library has been a place of treasure for any bookworm since it
was founded in 1922. It contains more than 600,000 books and rare manuscripts
within its iconic building, which only serves as one of the most suitable
places where students can comfortably study and conduct research. The tall high
ceilings and spacious reading rooms characterize the heaven-like atmosphere
people gain from this type of institution in pursuing knowledge and wisdom
within academic texts, literary classics, and other tomes.

Even as the Kirori
Mal College Amphitheatre comes alive with culture through performances,
concerts, festivals, and more across the calendar year, a place like this forms
the center of every student's creative expression. Be it plays or music
concerts, everything takes place here, and the feel there recharges students

Back lawns Of Lady Shree Ram
The back lawns of the Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) at the heart of the
hyperactive campus are a quiet haven; here, inside this picture-perfect
surround, greenery abounds as flowers bloom, giving it a verdant picture where
students come to unwind and connect themselves with nature. This peaceful
habitat is commonly used by the students coming there to study, reflect, or
hang out with their friends. There is also the aesthetic appeal; the lawns are
places where it hosts cultural events and get-togethers with its attractive
atmosphere. As a whole, they provide a perfect blend of loveliness and serenity
for which I think it is a quintessential part of the LSR experience.

The Miranda House Garden
Inside the busy campus lies the Miranda House Garden. It is a favorite area for
students when they want to be away from their books. The garden, owned by
Miranda House, flaunts its beautiful landscaping, colorful flowers, and serene
ambiance, so it is a wonderful place for relaxation, studying, or just talking
with friends. It is also a great place to soak up some nature outside of the
student's campus.

The Wall of Heroes is dedicated to the alumni of DU who were involved in a
crucial role in India's freedom struggle. It is a memorial reminding students
about the sacrifices made for the country's independence and thus a source of
inspiration for current students visiting this landmark, instilling pride and
connecting one to the rich historical narrative of the university.
