This holds true in traditional Indian society, which always favored conventional and socially respected careers. But things are constantly in flux. The newer generation is increasingly embracing diverse interests, and psychology is gaining recognition as a valuable and legitimate career field.
Psychology is a transforming field involving interdisciplinary innovations with increased awareness over mental health issues. The education system has responded to the increased public interest in psychological well-being by producing an increased output of specialists within the field. This, therefore, is related to a larger social commitment toward the mental health issue and involves integration of psychological insights into diversified sectors of the society.

Although the Department of Psychology in LSR College is considered one of the best regarding academic rigor and experienced teaching faculty, there are certain aspects about which students have complained of not being flawless and which, therefore, need improvement -
1. Less Practical Exposure: The students may complain of too little practical exposure in the course of study in Psychology. They would have liked to see more practical exercises involved or instead fieldwork, internships, and so forth, to complement theoretical learning.
2. Resource Constraints: The students can also complain about the resource inefficiency within the department concerning research facilities, special equipment, and updated literature needed by the students for conduction comprehensive research or projects.
3. Classroom Size and Interaction: A large class size is of concern to some students because they feel that they get less personal interaction or discussion time with professors. Indeed, class size has been, in many ways, a determining factor because a smaller class size is more conducive to a personalized learning process.
4. Flexibility in the Curriculum: Some of the students may argue that flexibility regarding curriculum issues is not given sufficiently enough to accommodate varied interests in Psychology. They may need the facilitation of more electives available or courses that merge two disciplines in relation to rising trends in psychology.
5. Career Counselling and Placement: Overall, the academic support provided by LSR College is good. However, for students looking for career guidance focused specifically in the area of Psychology and its placement, probably a bit more could be done. This could be in the form of networking opportunities, guidance towards higher studies, or simply connecting with industry professionals.
College Life And Fest At LSR

College life is pretty exciting at LSR, way beyond academics. The cultural calendar is hectically packed with events and festivals throughout the year. This may be stated as one of the biggest highlights-the annual cultural festival called Tarang. It holds a wide array of events-dance competitions, music shows, fashion shows, theatre productions. The festival is also more than a manifestation of artistic expression; it helps create the spirit of togetherness and the celebratory mood within the campus. Another major event is Trends, covering fashion and creativity: fashion parades, design competitions, and exhibitions portraying the fashion sense and new ideas of the student body. Besides the entertainment value of these events, they also afford students an avenue for self-expression and exposure to contemporary trends. It has its annual academic festival known as Confluence, comprising presentation of research papers, debates, quizzes, and panels on various subjects, which go on to ensure intellectual discourses and academic engagement among the students.
Apart from festivals, college life is pulsating at LSR College-from clubs and societies related to dramatics and music to photography, literature, and social service. These clubs keep students in touch with their pursuit of interests, help them gain new skills, and make useful engagement beyond the routine of studies.
